If you’ve ever bought solo ads, you’ve probably asked this question (or maybe even emailed your traffic provider about it):
👉 “What offer should I promote?”
Most buyers send me one random link and expect me to tell them if it will work. The truth? It depends.
Because here’s the hard reality: solo ad traffic is cold.
- They don’t know who you are
- They’re often looking for a quick win
So the question isn’t “Will this offer work?” — it’s “Does this type of offer match cold traffic?”
Let’s break it down.
Why Quick-Money Offers Work First
When someone opts into your funnel from a solo ad, they usually have a “get rich quick” mindset. They want to see money appear fast.
That’s why “make quick money” programs convert best as OTOs (one-time offers) or in your first follow-up emails.
✅ Sometimes you’ll make sales instantly.
❌ Sometimes you won’t.
But that’s the importance of having a follow-up sequence and broadcasts in place. They keep warming the lead until they buy.

When to Promote Other Offers
Here’s the part most people miss:
Just because your leads opt in for a “quick money” program doesn’t mean that’s all you can promote forever.
Once they’re inside your list, you can:
- Pivot into other subniches (list building, building funnels, hosting, tools, coaching…)
- Introduce products that require more trust
- Send them to your personal recommendations
Cold traffic needs a low barrier to entry. But once they’ve opened your emails and recognized your name, you can promote almost anything.
Two Paths You Can Take With Solo Ad Leads
When it comes to offer selection, you basically have two choices:
🔹 1. Churn & Burn
- Focus only on quick profits
- Keep blasting new “make money” offers
- Replace subscribers as they burn out
- Fast cash, but little loyalty
🔹 2. Brand & Build
- Start with a quick-money offer to grab attention
- Use your follow-up to add value and build trust
- Promote higher-ticket or evergreen programs later
- Slower upfront, but much more profitable long term
Both paths work. The key is to know your goal before you start.
Final Thoughts: It’s Not About a Magic Link
When clients ask me “Will this link work?” my answer is always the same:
👉 It’s not about the specific link.
👉 It’s about the type of offer and whether it matches cold traffic.
- Start with quick-win offers to cover your traffic cost
- Use your follow-up sequence to build trust
- Then promote anything you want
That’s how you make solo ads profitable.
